Communication...

There are different types of relationships, friendships, acquaintances, and couples. What is the glue to any relationship? Is it chemistry, maybe alittle. Is it attraction, alittle more. What about communication? Ding ding ding! I think we have a winner. In any relationship that we as beings have, communication is key. Without communication, misunderstandings occur, assumptions take place, lies happen, people move apart from each other. Why do we allow for lack of communication to occur? Many times, fear of the answer, hurting someone's feelings, or sometimes not wanting them to know. When we don't communicate properly with others, relationships grow distant, and end. This is the same with God, talk to him, share your feelings with him, lay all your burdens on him, big or small. It doesnt matter what it is, talk to him about it, open to him, and let your relationship grow and remain close.

Happiness.

How do you know if you are happy? What gives you happiness? An emotion differientiated by the vast outlooks of others, some be it material, some emotional, and some spiritual. In life, happiness is given through avenues such as money, riches, comfort, peace, and love, which can all be perceived differently.
With god, happiness is given abundantly through his bountiful stores of riches, his endless unconditonal love, and undying faith in his children, US. While these may look like a imperfect happiness to many, it is exactly what we need, and that is exactly what he always promises to provide.
So the question becomes, how do we get this incredible happiness? It is like any relationship, through time with him, reading, talking, or singing, to provide and sustain that close relationship. Any burdens on your heart, you can always lay on him and he will see you through. He is your rock in the relationship, and your shield from the pain and evil. It is through these, that he always is able to give us not what we want, but what we need.

Trust in Him!

To the chief Musician upon Neginah, [A Psalm] of David.* Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock [that] is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, [and] a strong tower from the enemy. Psalms 61:1-3

There are times where we all feel overwhelmed, helpless, and not sure what to do. It is these times, that we must trust in God, he will lead us. I know it may be hard, to just want to give up, let Satan grab you and turn you to the ways of him. That is not what God's intention is, hard times are giving to us to allow us to bring God back into everything that you do. It is not that he wants you to fail, it is that he wants to show you that it is he who provides, he who leads you. I truely believe that everything happens for a reason, with a silverlining to it all and although at the moment everything is going on, it may not seem like everything is going to work out, or it may not work out the way you like it. That is only because God has a plan for us, placing us in situations to make our bond and ourselves stronger and ready for what he has in store for us.

He always has the right answer, turn to him, and believe in him as he has in us.

A Woman's Worth.

Today I came across some verses in Proverbs and thought I would share them with you.
Proverbs 31:10,27-28:

"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also and he praises her;"

So what is this, who does that make us? We as women, deemed highly respected, highly exalted, for our characteristics. We are precious people with hearts of gold, mainly concerned with those around us over ourselves. We put our household above all else, and stand by our partners in life, straying from laziness and deceitful behavior. Give praise where praise is deserved. We tend to be the first to rise and the last to fall, when it comes to things of the family. We are strong women, with sensitive traits as well. We stand for what is right, and fight for correction of the wrong.

So while some of us may feel we are not important, we are. We are incredible people and in this day may not be given that honor. You should never feel you are worth less than what you are, that was never the plan. Strive for your purpose in life and not to let foolish things keep you down. We are deserving of care and attention and in the words of Maya Angelou, "Phenomanal Women."

Relationships!!!!

Today, people are in and out of relationships for many reasons: someone cheats, lies, things unspoken leaving room for assumptions, lack of time with the other person, all things that our flesh allow to happen. Just like any other relationship, the same things happen that push us away from God, we allow for Satan to get his fingers on us and cause the distance between us and the Lord to grow. When you look at your relationship with your best friend, what is it that allows for it to be so strong, last so long, and continue to grow together? Well, let me tell you from my own experience, my best friend is the one I share everything with, the good, the bad and the ugly, the one that I can count on for brutal honesty, even if I may not want to hear it, the one I spend the most time with, the one I know that will always listen regardless of the time. Now if we can do that with our best friend, what stops us from doing that with God, our number one best friend! He is always walking with you, guiding you, listening to you and believing in you. Trust in him and he will always provide!

My Testimony

Raised a catholic, going to saturday class or psr as catholics call it, but the same as bible study learning as much as i could about god and jesus. This decision was chosen for me by my parents not by me. Well as I got older, and things of the world started setting in and started making my own decisions I lost god along the way and started living for myself. The decisions was making were definately not going on the right path and at a later age in life, after graduating high school I had already lost a dear friend of mine to drugs and was not sure how to handle it. Realizing i never made any decisions about my future i felt like i was loosing control of my life and became bulimic. Well we all know that most people don't recover from this, but i was able to stop and quit like it never even happened and that was because of god giving me strength to walk away. Still living for myself and not realizing that he had a given me a chance to change i kept walking down my own path and it led to a rape that was suppose to be a friend of mine. After that i hid out at my house for a while didn't really talk to many people, cause i didn't really trust many people after that except for afew of my girlfriends. Well at this point most people usually get involved in drugs and alcohol but not me not even a therapist, or psychologist. I pretty much recovered on my own in my own time, still not realizing that it was because of god and his love for me that i stayed strong and was still able to smile. Which brings me to the here and now, and that is when i met this guy was dating him for a while and found out i was pregnant and not married i knew it was wrong and i was determined to make it right and that to me was turning to god and to get forgiveness for my sin. So i started going back to the catholic church made my confirmation, and when my daughter was born had her baptized. The father left us, and i found out i was pregnant with my second child. Now a single mom of two kids struggling to take care of all of us making less than minimum wage, pretty much poverty level in 2006 a few months after my son was born i met this most amazing guy, who is now still my boyfriend who is a christian. He invited me to visit the church he does ministry music at every sunday, so i said ok i will come. Ever since that first sunday i kept going every sunday. I met alot of wonderful completely blessed people who truely loved god and i wanted that for me and for my kids. So working at Wendy's i met a lady who is christian and back on January 13th i was asking her questions. She started answering them, but i got too busy so she said she was going to call me that night. Well before she even called me my boyfriend called me and god usedhim to witness me get saved! And that very next day god used me to answer a family's prayer at church, a girl who is another author on this page her husband had lost his job and god's presence entered my apartment that day and it was so strong and real he told me to call them to tell her husband about a job i knew about and that he was going to get it. Sure enough he has that job and is still there. I'm so blessed to have found the church that i am now a member at, cause through all of our pastors teachings i discovered that god loves me unconditionally, and that no matter what he is there for me, and now i talk to him just like i would if i were talking to one of my girlfriends. I am so blessed to know that he is my father, and that he is always watching out for me, me a sinner and all i had to do is ask for his forgiveness, to the one who gave me life. There is nothing more wonderful!

Who am I.....

I know you all may be wondering, who am I, this woman, this believer, well let me share alittle about me, my testimony. This is the gateway to my being, and how I came to be who I am today. Growing up in a family, always part of the church life, going from a Pentacostal church to Episcapalian to Baptist then finally settling at Christian church. It became a ritual to me, wake up Sunday morning, go to church, pray every night, go to Saturday night young people's meeting, but was I really giving myself to the experience, no I wasn't. I was forced by my parents to go, once I got older I just stopped going because I felt it wasn't for me. Not sure where I was to fit in, I strayed just living my everyday life, for me, never looking back. I got involved in a harmful relationship, where trust became a issue as well safety. I went through emotional, verbal and physical abuse and in the end I found, I was pregnant. A happy moment in my life turned into one of pain, I was hurt that I became pregnant through the circumstances that I did. The father of my child gone, my hurt of being pregnant and the thought of how will I manage left me wondering, "What do I do now?" I began going to church more and becoming more involved in the church life. Still wondering how i was going to manage taking care of a child by myself, I continued to go to church, pray, and there were endless nights of crying for help. Then God being the awesome god that he is, showed me a way, he opened my parents heart to left me back in and the job with the hours i needed came up the day after I gave birth. He answered my prays and has been there for me every since. He is so wonderful and truly loving! I am blest to call him my father!

Welcome All!

To all those in need of a shoulder to lean on, a word to hear from, or people to be there, we are here for you! We are here to share the one interest we have in common, our God Almighty! This is for those that struggle from day to day and look for ways to lift their spirits. For those that have strayed from Jesus, living for ourselves, unsure how to find our way back. For the single parents, father and mothers, that just wish to hear some words of encouragement. I am not a preacher, nor is anyone else on this site. I am a believer, as are other authors in here. We are here just to spread our love and joy of Jesus with other believers in hopes of just showing that we are not alone. We all have different stories to tell, different lives that we have lead, but the one thing that has brought us all together and encouraged us to have this blog, is our passion for Christ, and the need to share it with others as passionate for his divine love.

Welcome all God's Children!!
